This weeks good Eatin'!

Hey All!

Our meals for this week were:
Merilee - chicken cordon-bleu, caesar salad, broccoli and rice
Katie - french dips (my kids died over last night!) chips and fruit with a lemonade fruit dip!
Heidi - Hamburgers with all the fixin's, chips and our Nana's famous potato salad
Jen - 4th of July marinade chicken, creamed carrots (the jury is still out on those!), corn, baked potatoes and strawberry pie

Hey Logan girls, how do you guys do St. Patrick's day? We "newbies" need to know! Mel I am excited you closed on your house congrats! Thanks Lisa for posting your dinner trades.

The only contribution that I have to this dinner trade group is enjoying all the good food. One day I will be apart of a dinner trade group.

I wanted to share one of the food blogs that I follow. This is Si Fosters blog. She is an excellent cook. Some of her recipes look complicated but it might give you some ideas.

One more comment then I promise I will stop. Since I spend 40 hours a week focusing on promoting physical activity, nutrition, and tobacco prevention among students K-9 (and all of your kids go to a school that is apart of my program)I thought I should tell you two things that are going on right now.

Visit this Web site:
http://www.hearthighway.org/gms/parents.html

First, this month happens to Nutrtion Month.

Second, there is a heart healthy recipe contest going on until May 31st. With all of your yummy recipes you should submit them for free stuff. You never know. :-)Jen's kids won a free bike and scooter in the fall. Ask her how they did it!
